How do I pay for utilities in Bulgaria?
Often our clients ask how they can pay the utility bills for their apartment or house: electricity, water, central heating, internet, cable TV, cell phone?
Option 1 - online payments from anywhere in the world
In order to make your utility bill payments easy and accessible from any country, we recommend using the biggest system in Bulgaria. With ePay.bg you can send money online and make secure, reliable electronic payments.
All you have to do is register with the system and you can pay your bills online by credit card.
You can also download the ePay.bg app to your phone (iOS, Android) and manage your payments as fast as possible.
*It is also possible to pay utility bills, annual tax, and waste disposal tax without having to register with ePay.bg. To do this, go to this link https://www.epay.bg/pay/ , choose the language of the page you want, and the category you want to pay in.
What you need to register your personal profile in ePay.bg and pay your bills (recommended for your convenience and control of all payments, including their history):
-
Have your personal credit card and personal email ready to create your ePay.bg profile;
-
Take your previous electricity (EVN Bulgaria) and water (Water Supply and Sewage Companies) payment receipts, which you may have received after purchasing your apartment;
-
These receipts have an "ITN" number and a "customer number". Use these numbers to create in the ePay.bg system the desired bill for payment. To do this, click "Add new bill", then select the desired company (Electricity Distribution Companies / EVN Electricity Supply or Water Supply and Sewage Companies).
-
After adding the necessary bills, you will see in the system the actual invoices for payment. Notifications of new invoices for payment will come to your email.
Option 2 - payments at the nearest local Easy Pay cashier's office
You need to come to a physical office of Easy Pay cash desks, the full list of which you can find here.
Provide the office manager with your name, contact cell phone number, and appropriate customer numbers for water, electricity, internet, and other providers. Your citizenship does not matter, and you will not need personal documents.
The office manager will enter your information into the system and issue a personal card.
Afterward, you will come to the nearest or any other office Easy Pay office with your personal card or just tell the manager of the offic your name and phone number. This will be enough for the office manager to identify you in the customer database and tell you what payment debts you have and for which suppliers. Then you pay (only cash is accepted) the respective debts and receive printed receipts for payment.
